Look Here for Information Regarding Directors/Play Submittals for 2010-11 Season November 2009

The Main Street Theatre Company is accepting submissions from Directors for our 2010 – 2011 season of main stage productions. Our Artistic Committee welcomes theater director’s input in this process. As we further develop our new theater space we seek productions that will not only appeal to our audiences but to actors and technicians as well. We wish to encourage the new and talented in all areas of a production to join us.

Our season will consist of:
Show #1: a Comedy or a well known Drama,
Show #2: a Holiday Show,
Show #3: a Large Musical,
Show #4: a Comedy/well known Drama,
Show #5: a Small Musical or Revue,
Show #6: a family musical

NEW: ACTOR'S SERIES - little known, controversial or cutting edge plays performed in a "Black Box" styles with minimal set, costumes and props. performed over one to three weekend.

Please submit a maximum of 4 productions you wish to direct along with your resume and references in your cover letter. Please include the following for committee consideration:

Copy of script for each submission,
The reason for selecting these productions, and
your thoughts and ideas on presentation, and any support staff you might recommend

If the committee finds that your submission(s) meet the desired criteria for the upcoming season, you will be contacted by the committee chair for further discussion.
